The loft is a small area, but with a little creativity, we've added four fold-out sleeper chairs and a television. This is a fun place for children to enjoy some time on vacation, and can be a great space for unexpected overnight guests.

The living room was repainted and a chair molding was added at 11' to enclose the painted portion of the room, while the warehouse ceilings were left in their original condition. This room has 18' ceilings, 12' windows, and a beautiful views of the courtyard and Cotton Mill historic smoke stack and swimming pool. The furnishings are Cindy Crawford's designs, and the sofa converts to a queen bed. Floors are the original wood, and the mirrored wall expands the space of the small room and reflects the windows and views.

The kitchen had already been upgraded with stainless appliances and granite counters, but we painted and added some custom accents, like the bronze lanterns above the cabinets and the original Henry Wang painting of Louis Armstrong, purchased in the French Quarter.

The loft was finished to hold four fold-out chairs, which make into single beds for guests. This is a fun area for kids, but will also sleep adults.

View toward the bedroom window. The original wood floors were restored in this unit and waxed. Custom draperies enhanced the courtyard views from the windows.

This is the finished result of the bedroom. The walls were repainted, a chair molding put at 11 feet to bring the bottom part of the room into focus with a new color, and wood trim on the doorways replaced the cheap metal trim that was original.

Wow. We've seen this before. The unfinished loft is really nothing more than a storage area right now - and only on the left side. The right side has no floor (or no ceiling, if you're in the closet). This area is really nothing more than an idea of a loft right now. We need to finish it out for practical use, and some of the lessons learned on unit #150 will save the budget... different railings will be used, and expenses will not include bar tabs for my sons and friends.

With granite counter tops and stainless appliances already in place, we've got a great head start on this unit. The challenge is to add some color and personality to a very bland decor.
